Limbang & Lawas

Limbang & Lawas

Sarawak’s northern wilderness enclave, gateway to the cool misty highlands of Ba’Kelalan, Lun Bawang heritage, and cross-border discovery.

Limbang & Lawas occupy a unique geographical enclave in northern Sarawak, nestled snugly between the two halves of Brunei Darussalam and the state border of Sabah. This remote frontier is celebrated for tranquil river towns, lush forested mountain ranges, and rich indigenous Lun Bawang and Bisaya cultures.

The crown jewel of this destination is the cool mountain haven of Ba’Kelalan in the Lawas Highlands, famed for sweet mountain apples, pure highland salt pans, and trekking trails leading up Mount Murud—the highest peak in Sarawak.
