Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah

The Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque is one of Brunei’s most recognisable landmarks and the largest mosque in the country. Completed in 1994 to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah’s reign, the mosque is renowned for its striking Islamic architecture, featuring 29 golden domes that honour Brunei’s 29th Sultan. Intricate mosaics, imported marble, elegant chandeliers, and beautifully landscaped gardens create a setting of remarkable beauty and tranquillity. Outside prayer times, visitors are welcome to admire the mosque’s architecture and experience the peaceful atmosphere of one of Brunei’s most significant religious and cultural landmarks.
