The Sacred Coastline of Kaul
Pantai Kala Dana is a pristine stretch of coastline facing the South China Sea. Every April, this beach becomes the epicenter of the ancient Pesta Kaul thanksgiving festival, where villagers appease sea spirits (Ipok) with the giant Seraheng offering basket and compete on the giant traditional Melanau swing (Tibow).
